Patch: A fix for a bug within CertControl. This may be a new software distribution or a package of files. Patches will be made available on a http and ftp server and will be sent via E-Mail if demanded.

Release: Development of CertControl is done in multiple steps. The resulting program versions are called releases. Changing from one release to the next is called update.

CertControl delivers a lot of functionality. During development new features will be added. New functions that substantially increase the functionality of CertControl will not be included within an update. The license to use these upgrades must be licensed separately.
